Press conference on the ‘Femicide in Germany’ project

6. November 2025

The topic of “femicide” has frequently been reported on and discussed in the media. However, there has been very little criminological research on the subject in Germany to date. The Institute of Criminology at the University of Tübingen and the Criminological Research Institute of Lower Saxony e.V. have now investigated homicides against women in Germany and are presenting their findings at a virtual press conference.

Members of the media are warmly invited to attend the virtual press conference on 20 November from 11am and can register via the following link:
https://www.uni-tuebingen.de/pk-studie-femizide

Following the presentation of the findings and conclusions regarding criminal law and prevention, journalists will have the opportunity to ask the researchers questions. The press conference will end by 12 noon at the latest.
