Introduction and advanced study of R with insights into the confreq and lavaan packages

We cordially invite you to the first edition of the training series on methods and statistics. The workshop, entitled ‘Introduction and Advanced Topics in R with Insights into the confreq and lavaan Packages,’ is aimed at empirical researchers who wish to use R as a tool for data analysis with various statistical methods.

During the workshop, Max Brede (University of Kiel) will first teach the basics of using the statistics programme R on the first two days. Among other things, he will cover data management with the tidyverse package and graph creation with the ggplot2 package. On the third day, we are pleased to welcome Mark Stemmler (University of Erlangen), who will offer in-depth insights into configuration frequency analysis and its application using the confreq package. On the fourth day, Daniel Seddig (KFN) will introduce the topic of structural equation modelling and its application with the lavaan package.

The workshop will take place from Monday, 19 February to Thursday, 22 February 2024 at Lützerodestraße 9, 30161 Hanover. There is a fee of €70 per day for participation. A reduced price of €35 is offered for students. Individual days can also be booked. The number of participants is limited. Registration must be completed by 31 January 2024 at the latest via the following email address: Rworkshop2024@kfn.de. If you have any questions, please also contact this email address.
