The development of criminal activity amongst the non-German population in the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein

The recently published study regarding immigrant crime (https://kfn.de/wp-content/uploads/Forschungsberichte/FB_137.pdf) has provided important insights into the development of criminal activity amongst the non-German population in the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein between 2013 and 2016. The current research continues these efforts and extends the observation period by another two years. The aim is to further analyse the criminal activity in the foreign population, under consideration of the country of origin, residential status, and prospects for permanent residence. Further influencing factors like family situation and type of accommodation are also taken into account. In addition to the characteristics of suspects, victim characteristics will also be considered.
